2010 is the eBook year
"EBook sales will explode in 2010". It is one of these forecasts I read last week. I have read a lot of them recently (like you I guess) and this one got my attention. Well, I did this very same prediction 3 years ago. It seems that I was a bit early and then wrong. But eventually we got there. 2009 saw the success of the Kindle and 2010 is the coming of Apple with the very anticipated Islate or whatever will be the name. However, I was a bit upset about the online sales of eBooks. Although it is hard to know the numbers since Amazon, certainly the first player, is keeping them secrets. Even if there is little doubt that Apple will smash the eBook reader market as it did with the mobile phone or mp3 player ones the question is opened for eBooks stores. Amazon is sure ahead right now but the innovation and the momentum is on the Apple side. Could we see another player? Let me hope so. 2010 is certainly the year that will decide which distributors will win the market. Lets hope that there will be a place for sunbookr.com.
